Those attending Freedom House Ministries learn the cause of their addictions from a Christian perspective.  At Freedom House, students are encouraged to turn to God as their hope for change.  Individuals are given the opportunity to establish and improve their relationship with God through private study and prayer, daily devotions, chapel services, and Biblical counseling.

During their year of training students also have opportunities to apply Biblical principles in work and daily routine.

Three Levels of Recovery

The Freedom House program consists of three levels.  Each level focuses on a restoration process for the individual.  Residents are required to participate in regularly scheduled Biblical instruction, individual counseling, work study education, and other life-changing activities.

Level One (12 Weeks)

The student receives guidance and structure that promotes a restored life-style.  During this time individuals attend classes, receive Biblical instruction and particate in daily assigned tasks and work projects.

Level Two (18 Weeks)

The student completes a series of classes to promote a personal relationship with Christ and to facilitate Christian maturity.  Students continue to participate in a daily routine, expectations and work projects as they pursue an individual plan that focuses on specific personal problems and family issues.

Level Three (22 Weeks)

The student is given increased independence with the established expectation of accountability and responsibility.  Individuals become more involved as a role-model and mentor to others in the program. During this transitional period, students are assigned increased  responsibility along with individual studies and Biblical instruction while:

  • Focusing on future plans
  • Making arrangements to become more involved in a local church
  • Connecting with a mentor within the community.

The student is a given increased independence with the established expectation of accountability and responsibility.  Individuals become more involved as a role-model and mentor to others in the program.
